What is First Lego League?
First lego league is a competition held by FIRST who are inspiring kids to see how they can influence and change the world they live in in a creative and fun way. First lego league (FLL for short) is a competition in 2 parts. To begin with, there is the lego part. In the lego part of the competition, teams from all around the world are given a table with tasks. The challenge is to build a lego robot with attachments to complete these tasks. But the second part, that often is missed is the project part. Here the competitors are given a theme, for example, cargo transportation (2021), people who sit still too much (2020), or a building/public space (2019). When we know the theme we have to define a problem within the theme and find a solution that we can present to the judges for having a chance at going forward in the competition to a continental and later world championship.
NoTCrackers?
Who and what is NoTCrackers? We're an FLL team from Sweden, Växjö. Our team exists 10 students from a local school. We're a school team so teammates come and go each year. The younger students learn from the older members and we distribute duties equally between members. We focus on having fun and making progress in the most fun way possible. Sitting down and just working long segments at a time alone can often be tiring and exhausting. That's why we try to work together as much as possible.
